What is paint board?

a. Specifications

Paint board is generally "block" as a unit, the specific size of each piece needs to be customized according to the size specifications of the design.

The thickness of the paint board is generally 5mm, 9mm, 12mm, 15mm, 18mm, which uses the size of 18mm, if you need to customize it, any thickness between 3mm and 35mm can be done.

b. Base material

The base material of traditional paint board is mainly medium fiber board, that is, we often say density board, which is cheaper, but less environmentally friendly.

A better environmental protection paint board substrate uses particleboard and multi-layer board, that is, solid wood particle board and solid wood multi-layer board, which are more environmentally friendly and durable than density board.

c. Types

Paint board is also divided into several different categories, there are high gloss paint, matte paint, UV paint, piano paint, metal paint and so on.

① high light baking paint

The brightness of the high-gloss paint board is very high, the gloss can reach more than 95%, there is a mirror feeling, and it can fill the light for the room, but the surface of the high-gloss paint version is not resistant to dirty, it is easy to leave fingerprints when touched by the hand, and a large area of application in the room may produce glare.

② Matte baking paint

Matte paint board, also known as matte paint board, is generally based on varnish, and is mixed with an appropriate amount of matte agent and auxiliary materials, usually divided into semi-matte (gloss in 40-60%) and full matte (gloss less than 30%) two kinds, matte paint is better than high-gloss paint, but also more dirty, indoor furniture choose matte paint board.

③UV baking paint

UV paint board is a kind of high-brightness board that is coated with UV paint by roller and then treated with ultraviolet light. Generally, UV paint board has metal cladding, which has high color selectivity, wear-resistant and waterproof, long service life, and is used for cabinet door panel more.

④ Piano painting

The difference between piano paint and other paint processes is that it has a very thick primer layer and the processing process is more complex. The surface brightness, density and stability of piano paint are much higher than other processes, and the surface will show the state of enamel cracking after destruction. ⑤ Metal paint

Metal paint is divided into two kinds of water-based metal paint and oily metal paint, water-based metal paint is an environmentally friendly paint, with water as the solvent, and oily metal paint is an organic solvent. The metal paint film is tough, strong adhesion, has a strong UV and corrosion resistance and good cleaning life.
